Target specifically pays attention to the development of software components that may be used as add-ins for existing database systems, in order to achieve Target functionality.
These add-ins will convert the R&D into scalable database technology.
In this context scalable is meant in the sense of complex querying, the searching in very large tables (>1 billion rows), as well as in the sense of the increasing coupling of computing power (clusters).
