It is the ambition of Target to form a knowledge cluster in the Northern part of the Netherlands, and to be trend-setting both nationally and internationally for the further expansion and exploitation, in the worlds of e-science, e-commerce and e-governance. Target’s organizational structure is strongly aimed at managing the R& D programme based on market demands.
Knowledge from information streams
Target is working on one of the major challenges in the application of large scale sensor systems: how can knowledge and information efficiently be extracted from large amounts of data? Target is aimed at identifying markets for which commercial applications of the Target technology can be developed. Within Target, plans and consequent actions for the commercial application of the Target technology are being developed. Apart from this, Target also intends to make its knowledge applicable for the SME in the Northern part of the Netherlands, so participation by the SME in application may become possible.
