Language Centre English Test (LCET)

Students, prospective students and researchers who need to take a language test for a grant, scholarship application, degree, research or work experience abroad can be tested at the Language Centre at the University of Groningen. Tests take place every two weeks on either a Monday or a Wednesday, and you will be assigned to one of these sessions.
The full test usually covers all four skills: speaking; listening; writing; and reading. Some candidates only need to be tested in one or two skills. However, most universities and organizations require all four skills to be included on the certificate.
Before applying to take the Language Centre English Test, you should check with the university or organization concerned whether they will accept our test as proof of your level of English.
