International associations

There are many non-faculty or subject-related associations for international students at the University of Groningen. Their activities range from providing useful information and fun activities to organizing international congresses and conferences.

 


AEGEE is an interdisciplinary student association, which promotes a unified Europe, cross-border co-operation, communication, integration among students.


The ASC aims to unite African students, create links between African students and other students at the University of Groningen and create awareness of global issues.

AIESEC facilitates international exchange of students and recent graduates. In a paid traineeship or as a volunteer for a non-profit organisation.


Association for Chinese students and scholars at the University of Groningen.

European Law Students Association - an organisation for law students and young lawyers in Europe and therefor also active in the Netherlands.


ESN is the organization that takes care of all the international students coming to the University of Groningen and promotes studying abroad to Dutch students.


Association for Indian students of the University of Groningen and the Hanzehogeschool.

Hospitality for Overseas Students, Groningen. A Christian organization that provides useful information and fun activities for foreign students and other international newcomers.

International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations. The IFMSA is represented in 98 countries and organizes internships, congresses, workshops, lectures and a lot more.


JASON ziet als haar taak om bij te dragen aan een evenwichtige informatievoorziening over de Atlantische problematiek (primair) alsmede internationale betrekkingen in ruimere zin (secundair) door als forum te fungeren.

Their website offers information on several subjects: Development Cooperation, Internationalization, International Recognition and Certification, the International Marketing of Dutch Higher Education, and Nuffic as Organization.


Organization for Indonesian students at the University of Groningen

SIB-Groningen: An international student association also known as DUNSA (Dutch United Nations Student Association).


The TEIMUN foundation is a recognized foundation. Its dual objectives are to raise international understanding and to bring students in contact with the workings of multi-lateral diplomacy in general and the United Nations in particular. To realize these objects they organize The European International Model United Nations every year.
