Adapted degree programme

If a health problem makes it difficult for you to participate in a regular degree programme, you may be eligible for one or more adaptations to your study programme. Examples of adaptations include:

  • extra exam time
  • flexible attitude to compulsory attendance
  • adapted furniture
  • adapted study pace
  • clearly legible written material
  • extra attention when planning and organizing your programme

The menu on the left contains the six steps you should follow to implement an adapted degree programme.

Do you have a study problem without a clear cause?

Visit your study advisor and/or make use of the services of the student psychologists or the Centre for Study Support and Academic Skills.

Could it be dyslexia?

If you have serious problems with reading, writing and studying, complete this screening list to find out whether you may be dyslexic. This link also contains suggestions for follow-up actions.

Parking facilities

If you need a car to get you to your lectures because you have a performance disability, you will qualify for a parking space close to your teaching building. To obtain a permanent parking space, you need a medical declaration from your GP or specialist and must submit it to the Health, Safety & Environment Service . Please make an appointment with your study advisor to discuss the practical aspects.

The Handicap + Study website will give you a lot of food for thought.
