My main interest is working on user adaptive human-computer systems; from selecting sensors to assessing usability. While investigating advanced driver assistance systems in a driving simulator, I have gained experience with a range of biometric signals, including ECG, blood pressure, respiration, EEG, and facial expressions, with using these for mental state inference, and with investigating users experiences in contact with such an adaptive system. My general research interests are human-computer interaction, advanced driver assistance systems, intelligent transport systems, vehicle automation, adaptive automation, mental state inference, mental workload, driving behaviour, road safety, human factors and ergonomics, and biometrics.
