| Name: | dr. C.J. (Chris) Peters |
|
| |
| Job title: | Assistant Professor |
| Other positions: | Member of The Groningen Research Institute for the Study of Culture (ICOG), the Research School for Media Studies (RMeS), and the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). --------------- Prior to my appointment as Assistant Professor of Journalism Studies and Media in August 2008, I lived in the cold confines of central Canada. My MA and PhD, both in sociology, were undertaken at Carleton University in Ottawa. My eclectic academic background also saw me study journalism at Carleton University after completing a commerce degree from Queen’s University. Outside my working life, I’m an avid traveller, be it Cape Town or Kampala, Marseille or Managua, Helsinki or Hanoi. There’s nothing quite like feeling out-of-place. |
