Football is also one of the SPR sports.
Twice a year, the football section of SPR organizes football tournaments,
in June a half-pitch football tournament and in early January an indoor football tournament, for staff of the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
Non
-SPR members may also participate in these tournaments.
Teams from our sister institutions also participate every year (UMCG, St AOG and Sanquin Blood Bank).
According to the SPR board, three departments are currently using the Sports Centre facilities (indoor and outdoor) to play football one hour per week without supervision:
the Brug team of the Office of the University, the Hanze University Economics team and the University Services Department team.
Active players must be SPR members and have a valid SPR sports card.
