GAMMA-Data & Consult

Thank you for visiting our website. GAMMAdata & Consult is a bureau specialized in social-scientific research and consultancy, linked to the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences of the University of Groningen.

Our assignments do not only come from within the University of Groningen: we also work for governmental institutions, organizations, private firms, and the media. In the past we have done studies on (among other things) well-being, quality of life, social cohesion, pro-social behaviour, conceptions, opinions and election polls. We have also conducted research on policy evaluation. Naturally, these are merely examples (for further information on past research, please visit Examples of Studies page). In consultation with the client, we can make make a selection of the required activities (see below). Any further assistance from, or cooperation with the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences is always a possibility.

 

When conducting social-scientific research, we employ computer-assisted interviewing (CAI) systems. Respondents are interviewed by experienced interviewers, mostly students. The interviewers are supervised by two coordinators, who also manage the bureau on a day-to-day basis. The director of GAMMAdata & Consultancy is drs. Theo van der Zee.
