Science fair Zernike campus a big success
During the national ‘Weekend of Science’ many buildings on the Zernike Campus opened their doors for a science fair on Sunday 4 October. Visitors were welcome at the Bernoulliborg (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science), SRON (space research), KVI-CART (nuclear physics and instrumentation), Hanzehogeschool and Entrance (energy research at Hanzehogeschool). The ‘Your Energy for Tomorrow’ truck (RUG / Gasterra) was parked outside the KVI-CART.
At all locations, visitor numbers were up compared with last year. In the Bernoulliborg, some 1050 people passed through the revolving doors, and the Hanzehogeschool attracted roughly the same numbers. The other locations finished the day with fewer visitors. The truck, with its limited capacity, could still boast 300 visitors. The response of those who came, quite often parents with their children, was quite positive. Apart from the pictures from the Bernoulliborg, you can also see a short video, made by people from the Faculty of Economics and Business.
