Konstantinos Spyrou received Deal & Grove Young Author Award of the Electrochemical Society
Our congratulations to Kostas (Konstantinos) Spyrou, who received the 'Deal & Grove Young Author Award' of the Electrochemical Society (ECS). Kostas Spyrou was Ubbo Emmius fellow in the group of Prof. Petra Rudolf at the Zernike Institute and is currently post-doc at Cornell University. He received the award for the review paper "Hydrogen Storage in Graphene-Based Materials: Efforts Towards Enhanced Hydrogen Absorption". This paper is currently No. 3 of the ECS most read papers! The review is summarizing Kostas PhD work jointly performed in the labs of Prof. Petra Rudolf and Prof. Dimitris Gournis (University of Ioannina, Greece). We think, this achievement should encourage all PhD students to write a review paper based on what they have learned during their PhD.
Please note, that in an earlier version it was incorrectly stated that Kostas was awarded the 'Norman Hackerman Young Author Award'! We are sorry for this mistake.
