New publication by David Shim and Philipp Olbrich

CEASG researcher dr. David Shim and Philipp Olbrich, PhD at Department of International Relations, have published a new article: Symbolic practices of legitimation: exploring domestic motives of North Korea’s space program.

The article has been published in the academic journal International Relations of the Asia-Pacific (Oxford University Press), which addresses major issues and developments taking place in the Asia-Pacific.

Dr. David Shim is Assistant Professor at the Department of International Relations and International Organization at the University of Groningen. He is interested in the visual and spatial dimension of global politics and works at the intersection of International Relations, Geography and Area Studies.

Philipp Olbrich is PhD student at the Department of International Relations and International Organization of the University of Groningen. Philipp has published on various topics pertaining to East Asia including South Korea’s international technology cooperation, the history of Sino-Korean relations as well as on South Korean foreign policy and its political system.
