Starting in 2012-2013, the Psychology deparmtment starts with a 'local selection' procedure (Dutch decentrale selectie). This means that we can actively select the students that we admit to the psychology programme. That way, we can admit the most suitable and most motivated candidates. We have a total of 850 places, so don't hesitate to apply!

More information can be found on www.rug.nl/psy/ds.

The Board of the University has decided that from academic year 2011-2012, the University of Groningen will no longer observe what is known as the academic quarter hour. This means that from September next, all lectures will start at the top of the hour.

This means that the first lectures will start at 9 a.m. instead of 9.15 a.m. The next sessions will start at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

To provide students and lecturers the opportunity to get to the next lecture on time, lectures can end fifteen minutes before the hour.
