Double degree programmes and joint programmes

The University of Groningen has joined forces with strategic international partner universities worldwide to offer joint programmes enabling students to study in different countries and learn about different societies. Upon successful completion of a joint programme, students receive an additional certificate and in some cases a degree from both universities.

Double/joint Bachelor's degree programmes

Economics and Business Economics

Double degree programme for students from Fudan University, China, for the specialization International Economics and Business. Students spend two years in Fudan and two years in Groningen. > more info

Double degree programme in cooperation with Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Students spend 4 semesters in Yogyakarta, and two semesters in Groningen. > more info

Business Administration: Strategic Marketing Management

Double degree programme in cooperation with BI Norwegian School of Management, Norway. Students spend 2 semesters in Oslo, and two semesters in Groningen. > more info

Chemical Engineering

• Double degree programme in cooperation with the Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. Part of the programme is followed in Groningen and part in Bandung. > more info
• Joint multidisciplinary programme 'Water Technology', initiated by Wetsus Academy in which the following universities participate: University of Groningen, Wageningen University, and University of Twente. > more info

Environmental and Infrastructure Planning

• Programme Development Planning and Infrastructure Mangagement in cooperation with the Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia. Part of the programme is organized in Groningen, the other part in Bandung. > more info
• Programme Water and Coastal Management in cooperation with the University of Oldenburg, Germany. Students spend the first year of the programme in Oldenburg, the second year in Groningen. more info

International Business and Management: International Financial Management

Double degree programme in cooperation with Uppsala University, Sweden. Students spend one semester in Uppsala, one semester in Groningen and one semester writing their thesis in Groningen and/or Uppsala. > more info
