Economists Tristan Kohl, Steven Brakman, and Harry Garretsen analysed the UK’s options for trade after it leaves the European Union. Their result? There is no option that is better for UK trade than the current situation. The best result from Brexit would be the one that most closely mimics the UK’s current arrangement.
