Michael Stal benoemd tot hoogleraar Software Engineering

Bij de faculteit Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen is dr. Michael Stal door de stichting Leonardo da Vinci per 1 mei 2010 benoemd tot bijzonder hoogleraar Software Engineering. Stal was senior principal engineer bij Siemens Research in München.

Hij studeerde aan de TU München en promoveerde in 2007 aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Hij was in de jaren negentig een pionier op het terrein van software patterns. Hij is editor van JavaSPEKTRUM en voorzitter van de International Java Club.
