Abstract
If Dark Matter is made of Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) , as often assumed, a reliable identification of its nature can probably be achieved only through a combined analysis of accelerator (LHC), direct and indirect searches. After a brief review of the status of these experimental strategies, I will discuss their complementarity, showing with an explicit example how to combine them in a self-consistent way. I will argue that with the advent of the LHC, and the upcoming generation of astroparticle experiments, the moment of truth has come for WIMPs: either we will discover them in the next five to ten years, or we will witness their inevitable decline.
