Abstract
The Planck mission, lauched by ESA in may 2009, has now completed its nominal survey of the millimeter and submillimeter sky. I will review the scientific objectives of the mission, report on its in-flight performance and on the ongoing data analysis, and give an overview of the first scientific results obtained after one year of observation.
