Ethnological collection

The ethnological collection contains more than 10,000 objects from all corners of the globe and is consists of four large component collections:

• The Van Baaren collection (static collection)
• The ethnological collection on long-term loan from the Prinsessehof in the city of Leeuwarden (static collection)
• The collection of the former Tropical Agricultural Museum (Tropisch Landbouwmuseum) in the city of Deventer (static collection)
• The acquisitions (gifts, purchases) to the collection between 1972 - 2003
