The University Museum has its own medical collection but it is also in charge of the University Medical Centre Groningen collection. The UMCG is a modern hospital, but a lot  of its forerunner, the “old” AZG, was preserved for posterity.

Changing exhibits in the Poortweg in the UMCG display different aspects of Groningen medical history.
