Confidential advisor


The confidential advisor assists staff and students who have experienced undesirable conduct (sexual harassment, aggression, violence, and discrimination) or unequal treatment. The confidential advisor also assists employees who experience problems in co-operation at work. The confidential advisor is independent and has a right to access to all necessary information.

According to Dutch law, everyone in the Netherlands should be treated equally. In fact it is not only a matter of discrimination but also a matter of equal opportunities.
In every labour organisation employers have work related problems which cannot be solved within the official circuit.

Stalking is defined as ‘the wilful, malicious and repeated following and harassing of another person’.
The most important aspect of undesirable conduct is that each individual has his or her boundaries and that everything that is experienced as uncalled for (and forced on someone) is indeed uncalled for. Examples of undesirable conduct are sexual harassment, aggression, violence, and discrimination.
