The step-by-step plan is based on the portfolio template.
-
First you should check which procedure applies to your
faculty
and register with your faculty UTQ
contact person
.
-
Next, prepare for the assessment by compiling your portfolio on the basis of the
manual and template
used within your faculty. Your portfolio should start with a self-evaluation, comprising a personal analysis of strengths and weaknesses drawn up on the basis of a self-evaluation tool; a teaching CV; recent proof of evidence such as lecture slides, assignments and tests; feedback from three parties (students, colleagues and your manager or Director of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies) about your course unit; and an expert opinion on your testing, for example via ESI test analyses.
-
You can submit your portfolio for approval when you feel that it shows you satisfy the quality requirements. The faculty registration committee will assess your portfolio and decide whether a
follow-up process
is needed to complete your portfolio. The committee comprises a faculty manager in the field of teaching, a faculty specialist and an expert in the field of teaching.
-
Complete the follow-up process if necessary. This process could consist of compiling a design or redesign for your own course unit, following a course, attending lectures taught by colleagues, peer reviews, drawing up an assessment plan, etc.
-
The UTQ certificate will then be awarded and presented to you.
