The University of Groningen Library offers instructions and workshops to students, staff and other visitors. It is possible to make an appointment for a tour or a library user course if you have not attended a course as part of your study programme. Please refer to ‘Programme-specific courses’ for instruction materials or make an appointment under ‘On-demand courses’.

Online information skills module

The University Library offers an online information skills module that contains extensive information about academic literature, subjects and search terms, as well as selecting, searching, finding, evaluating and processing information sources.

Programme-specific courses

Please consult Library Guides for the most important information about literature databases across different academic domains. Your Faculty's library instructions can be found under ‘Programme-specific courses’.

On-demand courses

The UB can provide general instructions to those who are unable to participate in field-specific or programme-specific courses but would like to learn more about the University Library'. Please register via the guided tour form , and we will contact you. There is also an opportunity for school pupils to discover the UB.
