All applications offered by the UWP are licensed. What applications you can use depends on your account.
There are also some licenses for stand-alone PC's or home-use. There are four types of licenses within FWN:
RUG
The licenses that are maintained by the university.
Both students and employess can order installation cd's through http://www.surfspot.nl/ .
Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
Licenses maintained by the faculty. Usually only for use through the faculty servers.

Freeware Academic Use
For stand alone- or home working places these programs are available through the supplier, usually free via the internet.
Other licenses
Usually this concerns a purchase by a group from within FWN for limited use.
