Biomedical Engineering in Groningen

The Biomedical Engineering (BME) study at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen originated in a 3-year specialization within the Applied Physics program in 1998. As a consequence of the acceptance of the Bologna declaration, the University of Groningen offers the master's degree programme in BME since academic year 2002/2003. The programme embodies a joint effort of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
