Susan Barr is director of the International Polar Heritage Committee.
The Netherlands is one of many countries that have a part of their history and cultural heritage in the Norwegian arctic archipelago of Svalbard. The lecture will describe this and explain the principles, reasonings, plans and actions that the authorities work with to try to preserve all the cultural heritage in the best possible way.
