The MA in International Relations and International Organization (IRIO) is a degree programme that researches and studies international relations in an integrated manner. In addition, this Master’s degree programme offers students the opportunity to specialize in one of the four core areas within international relations, corresponding to the specific expertise of the various staff members within the IRIO department: The aim of this one-year MA is to train students in one of these four specializations, in addition to acquiring thorough knowledge and understanding of the general themes in international relations. They will thus acquire a sufficiently broad as well as a specialized basis for either entering the job market or continuing on with an additional Master’s degree (NOHA, Euroculture). Dutch and English taught coursesInternational students follow the entire programme in English. Dutch students may also follow the English-taught programme. All lectures are given in English, as are a large number of tutorials. You can also write your thesis in English. See the course catalogue for more information about the language of instruction for lectures.
