The academic education is spreading across borders. This is also the case for educating teachers. JoMiTE is an initiative by the University Centre for Learning & Teaching to develop a European Master for teacher education.
The current teacher education already has a few internationalisation activities. There are two exchange programs, with students from France
(Institut Universitaire de Formation des maîtres d'Aquitaine) and from Hungary (Kodolányi Janos University College in Székesfehérvár and Eszterházy Károly College in Eger). In addition the study program consists of a study trip to Bonn and the study conference 'Teacher in Europe'.
Together with the Faculty of Arts the UOCG participates in the international master 'Spanish as a foreign language in an Intercultural Context'. This master allows teacher education students to follow courses at the
University of Barcelona, FU-Berlin, the University of Deusto, the University of Stockholm, the University Pompeu Fabra, the University of Prague, the University of Salerno and the University of Southampton.
