The University of Groningen Language Centre cooperates with the Institut français NL in offering French group courses. Are you a student, do you need French for your work or are you retired, there is a suitable course for everyone. For example, a basic French course, a course to take your level to the next level and to deepen your knowledge of French culture and society.

The Institute offers general and specialized courses at all levels, physically in a classroom or online. Achieve your objectives in French quickly thanks to motivating, fun and communicative activities. You will study grammar, vocabulary and all the necessary tools to express yourself in all circumstances.

Course offer

The Institut français NL is the French agency for cultural cooperation in the Netherlands: It promotes the learning of the French language and encourages multilingualism in the Netherlands; It supports French-Dutch mobility and partnerships in the fields of creation, research, education, the French languages, and ideas; It assists cultural, research and educational professionals in their development in France and the Netherlands; It presents events that foster dialogue between French and Dutch societies on contemporary issues.

DELF and DALF are internationally recognised language certificates issued by the French Ministry of Education. The certificates, which are valid indefinitely, can not only be used to demonstrate your level but also to study in France (levels B2 and higher). These tests can be taken at the Institut Français in Groningen.
