AfricaThe University of Groningen's ties with Africa have a long history. The collaboration with the University of Ouagadougou, for example, dates from the 1970's. In the meantime, the University of Groningen has partnerships in Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, etc, which consist of joint research, joint (NPT/NICHE) projects, student exhange, etc.. Also, students from all over the African continent find their way to Groningen and an increasing number of Dutch students go on exchanges and internships to Africa as well.
