Aim/Mission

The graduate school is committed to provide an attractive education and research environment for graduate students in Mathematics and Computer Science by maintaining a modern infrastructure and appointing faculty members who excel in research. PhD students are trained to perform research at a high level, leading to publications in international scientific journals and conferences of high standing. After obtaining a degree, young re­search­ers continue their professional career in various environments, such as academia, government, administration and industry in the country and abroad.

Master’s degree programme(s) (2 years)

 

- Mathematics

- Technical Mathematics
- Business Mathematics

- Computing Science (with specialisation in Intelligent Systems, Computational Science and Visualisation, or Software and Systems Engineering)

 

Degree awarded: Master of Science

 

PhD degree programme (4 years)

The PhD programme includes a set of compulsory courses related to general research and teaching skills and another, project specific set of courses, summer/winter schools, conference participations and working visits to other research institutes. The project specific part is tailored to the specific needs of each PhD student in relation to the corresponding research project.

 

Degree awarded: PhD (Dutch: Doctor in de Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen)
