Page content: Best paper award for the Scientific Visualization and Computer Graphics group at IEEE Vis2009
The IEEE Visualization Conference (IEEE Vis) is the top conference in the field, and is the premier forum for visualization advances in science and engineering for academia, government, and industry.
This year, Maarten Everts, Henk Bekker, Jos Roerdink, and Tobias Isenberg from the Scientific Visualization and Computer Graphics group received the Best Paper award for their work: "Depth-Dependent Halos: Illustrative Rendering of Dense Line Data". The work presented at the conference by Ph.D. student Maarten Everts was conducted as part of the NWO VIEW (Visual Interactive Effective Worlds) project, which is part of the I-Science programme cluster of NWO.
