The Master program

In Groningen we offer several variants of the master program in Computing Science:

• a P-variant is meant for those who aim to continue with a Ph.D. program;

• an M-variant is meant for the students who want to enter IT business, and the main program here is in  Software Engineering and Distributed Systems .

•  Finally, the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences also has an Education/Communication Master program for Computing Science bachelors and a Science, Policy & Business program

 

An important goal in the master program is to give the student some research experience.  In this way students can discover whether they are suited to continue research in a Ph.D. program.
