Prospective Master's students


We offer several interesting Master's programs in Computing Science for those who want to continue their education in Computing Science.  The programs are taught in English and open to both Dutch and international students. Groningen is a great town and studying here will give you many interesting opportunities.

The variants of the Master's program

There are several variants within the Master's program: the P-variants are meant as preparation for a career as a researcher, while the M-variants are aimed more at those interested in a career in industry.

Within the Master's program Computing Science there are many interesting projects to be done. For the course Introduction to Computational Science you will investigate and present a research topic of your own choice, and at the Student Colloquium you will learn how to write and present a scientific paper in a mini-conference.

Requirements for admission to the Master’s programme Computing Science include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science
  • If you have a different degree, the Board of Examiners will decide whether or not you can be admitted to the Master’s programme.
  • Sufficient English proficiency is required.
