Web house style

Although all RUG portals (websites) must use the web house style (design), the range of design elements mean that portals can vary in appearance.

The following elements may vary:

• Photo on the homepage of the portal
• The photo at the top of each page of the portal
• The name of the portal on the top left-hand side. This is clickable and takes the visitor back to the portal homepage
• The menu (although the structure will be kept as consistent as possible)
• Colours

The navigation elements are the same for each portal. This also applies to the positioning of page elements, font, font size, etc.

These elements create a distinctive RUG house style. At the top right-hand corner of every page, you will find a clickable RUG LOGO, which takes you back to the RUG HOMEPAGE.

Compliance with the house style is monitored by the Communication Office of the RUG. If you have any questions about the web house style, please contact the RUG web co-ordinator or your own W3 Portal Co-ordinator.

In addition to the web house style, there is also a university house style for printed media.
