Petrus Camper Track

The aim of the Petrus Camper Track

In the module called the Petrus Camper Track (PCL), honours students will learn how to approach a problem relevant to science or society from different perspectives and how to find their own way of dealing with it, with vision and an eye to the future. At the same time, the honours students are taught skills, and attention is paid to their personal development.

Content of the Petrus Camper Track

The module has three elements – knowledge, skills and personal development. Knowledge is linked to the themes addressed in the nine broadening honours modules the faculties have on offer. The skills element is linked to achieving learning outcomes such as academic reading and writing, writing for an audience, and presenting and debating in an interdisciplinary context. Personal development is linked to self-knowledge, self-reflection, leadership, coaching, motivating individuals and groups and cooperation.

The Petrus Camper Track consists of various parts and has a total study load of 10 ECTS. The different elements (knowledge and understanding, skills and personal development) are addressed in the years 1, 2 and 3 of the honours programme, in various ways and in various parts of the programme. The module then concludes with the Petrus Camper Finale, in which all members of the year cohort participate.
