Ethics in Care and Society

The aim of the research program Ethics in Care and Society (ECS) is to analyse and reflect on the philosophical, ethical and socio-cultural aspects of moral issues in medicine and healthcare. The studies are characterised by practice-oriented analysis and provide recommendations relating to current moral questions and problems. Special attention is paid to questions concerning professionalism and organisational healthcare.

Members of ECS include philosophers and ethicists from the department of Health Sciences/section Metamedica and the Centre of Ethics of Care.
