Hydrophobicity-SFE-DLVO

 

Surface energy, adhesion thermodynamics and DLVO. This lecture will provide basicunderstanding of quantification of surface hydrophobicity in terms of surface free energyand surface charge in terms of zeta-potentials.

Furthermore, prediction of adhesion between two surfaces will be explained using both the thermodynamics and the DLVO theory.
