Annually the Groningen Graduate School of Law recruits PhD researchers. The vacancies are announced on the web page Job Opportunities at the University of Groningen. Forthcoming job openings will be announced in the spring of 2012.
PhD candidates who acquired external funding for their research can be admitted if a professor is willing to supervise the project. Criteria for this are the quality of the researcher and the quality of the research. these candidates should submit a motivation letter, a CV, certified copies of diploma's and the list of marks, a (short) research proposal and a statement by the funding institution.
PhD researchers normally have an 80% PhD researcher appointment and a 20% University teacher appointment, but it is also possible that the PhD researcher will spend 20% of the time in legal practice.
