Nestor is the electronic learning environment of the University of Groningen. Teachers use Nestor to give informationabout courses, to take electronic examinations, and to exchange documents with their own department. Students use Nestorto read announcements, to cooperate with group members, and to hand in assignments. For a quick overview of the contents of Nestor, you can access Nestor with the guest-account. For a complete and interactive experience with Nestor you need a personal account. Not familiar with Nestor yet? Explore the Nestor Knowledge Base after you have logged in (question mark at the top). How do you get an account? If you are registered at the Central Student Administration (CSA) a Nestor-account will be automatically created for you. The required information will be send to you by mail. Credentials are the same as for other services of the RUG, like ProgressWWW and e-mail. If you lost the letter, there's information on obtaining a new password under the question "I lost my password".
ProgRESS WWW is a webapplication by means of which students can refer to their progress, by means of which they can enrol for Lectures and tests, and by means of which they can make lecture-schedule for a whole year.
Students of the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and a number of technical colleges can log in by means of their studentnumber and password (this is a password, which is only valid for ProgRESS WWW). If you are not allowed to enter, but still want to see how the system works, then log in as demo-student or demostudyadministrator on the demo site. Use as studentnumber one of the numbers 1-9 with demo as password. As demostudent you have access to the results and enrolment module. The possibility to use the access to the planmodule will soon be available. You can also log in as demo-administrator; in that case log in as user "demo" with the password "demo". You will have the access-rights of an administrative user of ProgRESS WWW.
Syllabus PlusThis is a schedule and classroom booking programme made by Scientia and it is used by almost all Faculties of the RuG.
Ocasys gives an overview of all courses the University of Groningen has to offer. What you see however, is not always what you can take. Please check the entrance requirements of courses with the International Office of the faculty involved.
