CRASIS is happy to announce that our own Tamara Dijkstra and Inger Kuin have teamed up with Muriel Moser, who gave an inspiring CRASIS-lecture this past October. Together they are organizing an interdisciplinary workshop in Athens, on the subject of 'Strategies of Remembrance in Greece under Rome'.

The aim of the workshop is to explore comparative perspectives on the ways in which communities and individuals mobilized the past as a resource in the political or social arena in Greece (100 BCE-100 CE). T he workshop is generously hosted by the Netherlands Institute at Athens and takes place on 19-21 October 2016. For more information on the theme of the conference and how to submit a paper, please consult the Call for Papers, or contact the organizers .
