The UCG
offers courses and conducts research
on gender issues in the social
sciences. It also has various other
responsibilities:

Initiating and
coordinating contacts between
the various faculties of
Groningen University that offer
courses and conduct research in
the area of gender studies.
These faculties are: GMW
(Psychology, Education, and
Sociology), Theology, Law, Arts,
and Philosophy.

Participating in the
University Emancipation
Committee.
- Supplying the
University study guide for
Gender studies.

Representing Groningen
University in national and
international bodies, such as
the Society for Women's
Studies in the
Netherlands (NGV) and the
Association of
Institutions of Feminist
Education and Research in
Europe (AOIFE).
-
Managing the Ph.D. and
Postdoc Center
(PPC).
- Participating in
the Bachelor and Masters
programs of the department of
Education.
