Profile Reports

The information on this website is for the directors of the research institutes of FSE. It provides:

  • the procedure for creating new positions form TT-UD and up;
  • the formats for profile reports for both
    • new positions
    • promotions via the BC1 and BC2.These are the new formats for submitting profile reports as of 2016 as laid down by the Faculty Board. All other formats for profile reports have lapsed.

New position

Procedure

The opening of all new positions from TT-UD and up needs to be formally approved by the Faculty Board. Please submit your proposal for the opening of a new position in a formal request, accompanied by a budget statement, to the Faculty Board via the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.

When the position has been approved by the Faculty Board, please state the reference of the letter of approval from the Faculty Board in the profile report, under the heading ´vacancy´ (see format below).

Format profile report

  • Please find the format for the profile report here.
  • Using the format is mandatory.
  • Please do not change the name nor the sequence of the headings and please do not make any additional headings or sections.
  • Please fill out all the sections with a gray background/with font type Calibri.
  • Text sections with a white background and with font type Cambria, can be left as they are. However, you may add or change text it if the circumstances should require so.
  • The text of the profile report needs to be approved by the Faculty Board. Please send the profile report (as a Word document!) to the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.

Format advertisement/vacancy text

  • Please find the format for the advertisement/vacancy text for a TT-UD position here or for an associate or full professor position here.
  • Please try to adhere to the format as much as possible and only add extra sections when you feel this is absolutely necessary.
  • The text of the advertisement needs to be approved by the Faculty Board. Please send it (as a Word document!) to the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.
  • Please send the advertisement/vacancy text (as a Word document!) to the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.


Promotion via BC1 and BC2

BC1

  • For promotion via the BC1 you can send in the same structure report that was used for the position at the level of TT-UD.
  • However, if there are important changes in the fulfilling of the position, you are invited to use the format for the profile report for the (BC 1 and) BC2.
  • In that case, please fill out all the sections with a gray background/font type Calibri.
  • Text sections with a white background and with font type Cambria, can be left as they are. However, you may add or change text it if the circumstances should require so.
  • The text of the profile report needs to be approved by the Faculty Board. Please send the profile report (as a Word document!) to the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.

BC2

  • For promotion via the BC2, submitting a new profile report is mandatory.
  • Please use the format for the profile report for the (BC 1 and) BC2.
  • Please fill out all the sections with a gray background/font type Calibri.
  • Text sections with a white background and with font type Cambria, can be left as they are. However, you may add or change text it if the circumstances should require so.
  • The text of the profile report needs to be approved by the Faculty Board. Please send the profile report (as a Word document!) to the secretariat or the secretary of the Board.
