What is AVV?

The University of Groningen not only endeavours to give its students a thorough education in a given field but also offers students the opportunity to become acquainted with another academic discipline. This guide contains nearly 100 courses from all ten faculties of the University of Groningen. The courses are meant to offer students a brief overview of the main questions and topics, research methods and scientific milieu of another academic discipline. The courses all require a student workload of 5 ECTS and are of course ready to accept students from outside the faculty. There are no specific entry requirements.
