The Faculty of Spatial Sciences has recently established two new student exchange programs. The exchange with the University of Newcastle (United Kingdom) focuses on bachelor students from both Groninger bachelor programmes. They can choose courses in Newcastle within the School of Geography, Politics and Sociology. This new partnership has been initiated by Justin Beaumont. Another exchange has been established with the Department of Spatial Development, Infrastructure and Environmental Planning (of the Faculty of Architecture and Spatial Planning) at the Vienna University of Technology (in Austria). This link, initiated by Gert de Roo, also offers courses at the master's level in the fields of spatial planning, environmental planning and infrastructure planning. More information available at the Faculty of Spatial Science's coordinator of international student programs, Paul van Steen.
