Fast internet in rural areas only feasible through central approach province

Access to fast internet in rural areas

The only viable way to provide access to fast internet in rural areas is through financial support from governments and / or other lenders. With this support an organization should be established that constructs a fiberglass network in areas in Groningen who still have no access to broadband. Koen Salemink, PhD, and Dirk Strijker, Professor of Rural Development at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences of the University of Groningen (RUG) come to this conclusion following a research they conducted at the request of the province of Groningen.
