The Institute CBN is an integral part of the larger Research School of Behavioural and Cognitive Neurosciences, which unifies all research training activities in the area of cognition, behaviour and neurosciences of the University of Groningen. Next to the CBN there are six other Institutes from five Faculties that together constitute the Research School, namely two Institutes from the Medical Faculty (Physiology, Neurology and Psychiatry), one from the Faculty of Arts (Language and the Brain), one from the Faculty of Social Sciences (Neuropsychology) and one from the Philosophical Faculty (Mind and Brain).
The Research School serves as a community for the neuroscientists at our university. It organizes course for selected Research Master students and for PhD students, and it organizes a broad range of scientific events. CBN is heavily involved in all of these activities.
