The Groningen Research Institute of Philosophy (GRIPh)
- is responsible for the faculty’s research policy and strategy;
- brings together the research carried out by individual members of staff, which is formally organized in three broadly conceived research programmes;
- stimulates and supports research by individual members of staff and PhD students by organizing seminars and lectures, and by providing financial means;
- is responsible for the Research Master's Degree Programme Philosophy, a two years course for talented students.
The Board of GRIPh consists of the three chair holders and the vice-dean of the Faculty who acts as chair.
