Last year Rainer Fremdling officially retired from office as a full professor in Economic History at our Faculty. On 21-22 February 2008 SOM and the N.W. Posthumus Instituut will organise a seminar in Groningen to honour the academic career of Rainer: "The Economic Structure and Performance of Nations. Recent Approaches in Comparative Economic History."
