The FEB performs well in the Dutch Economists Top-40 of 2011 published in ESB (Economisch Statistische Berichten), December 16th, 2011). FEB ranks third in the university ranking, after Erasmus University and Tilburg University, but before the Amsterdam Universities and several other good schools.

The composition of the Top 40 is coordinated by the Erasmus University Rotterdam. This year the rules of the game have been changed. The major changes are the use of the Article Influence Score instead of the Impact Factor and the introduction of sub-rankings for five fields.

In the top 40 four FEB researchers are included. Bernard Nijstad ranks 7, Peter Verhoef 28 and Gerben van der Vegt on 37. One of the new entries is our assistant professor Robbert Maseland. He ranks at position 16, an outstanding performance, with only full professors ahead of him. FEB colleagues Ruud Teunter, Peter Verhoef and Gerben van der Vegt rank 1, 2, and 3 respectively in the discipline-rankings of Operations Research, Marketing and Management General: an excellent result.
